Awesome Intervals

This morning ended another 4 weeks of FitCamp. Next round will start in 2 weeks.

Had a killer interval workout this morning in spin class. Everyone left seemed to love the class.(after it was over!!)

I’ve attached a copy of our interval below. Feel free to download it and use it in your own workouts. Should be great for biking, running, etc. Tweak it to fit your needs.

Happy Easter!

Today turned out to be a very nice Easter Sunday. Kids got up early to see what the Easter bunny brought them and Beth came home from her business trip. I got out this afternoon for a ride and run, then came home and fired up the grill.

New FitCamp

Started a new Fitcamp class at Mabel Elementary School this morning. The class runs every Saturday for 10 weeks. I was very impressed with the group. Looking forward to our next class.
I’m in the process of setting a class up in Boone too. I’ll post a link to the website soon. If you are interested you’ll be able to register over the internet.

Got a Training Partner?

I usually do my strength training before 5am. Since no one else wants to train at that hour, I’m always training solo. So today I decided to switch things up. Instead of lifting in the morning I decided to go ahead and knock out my cardio for the day, saving my weights til the afternoon. Putting it off for a few hours turned out to be a good decision. I was able to train chest with a good friend of mine. Talk about different! Having someone else there made such a difference. I was able to push myself so much harder and use much heavier weights. It also got me fired up about future workouts.
So the next time you’re looking for a little extra motivation try training with a friend. A few workouts with a buddy just might be all you need to push past that plateau.

Akward As A Donkey On a Rail

The Ladder Workout could be one of our hardest workouts.  Thursday’s class got to experience The Ladder III. Seems the split squats made them feel “as awkward as a donkey on a rail” as one of the participants put it.
